A touching ending to a wonderful life. Not many go out with that kind of testimony. Thanks for sharing.

We are putting together a load of scanned photos of his time in the navy as it played an enormous part of his life. We have all sorts of bits and peices we would like to share and over the next few weeks i'll attempt to get them on here.

He is being cremated on Friday 19th March 2010, and we are going to place his ashes in a firework and fire it off off the cliffs in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth where he spent his retirement with Mum. One of his last wishes was to return to the sea and we intend to honour that with a display and good drink after.

I'm sorry if this doesn't make much sense but if your knew my dad, you'd know exactly why were all so upset. He was a perfect Dad, Granddad and Great Granddad. God Bless.

They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

Respects
Roger

Malc,

Sorry to hear about your father. He was likely to have been the last surviving member of the Penolver's crew.

He is derserving of such a send off.

Regards,

Michaelo.
